For the past several years, I have ventured all across North Carolina to meet venue owners, walk their properties and get to know all about the services they provide. There is a reason I’ve been called the “google of weddings.” It’s because I have invested time to go and personally seek out unique spaces. Plus I’m a part of several associations and networking groups to build deeper relationships with members of our industry.
Ask yourself:
“What are you looking for in a venue?”
“What area/city are you looking to stay near?”
“How many guests are you expecting?”
“What time of year/day are you planning your wedding?”
“What type of logistical needs will you have?” (elderly, children, disabilities)
“What is your OVERALL budget for your wedding?”
When you ask those questions, you’ll have a better understanding of the venue that will work for your vision AND needs.
Don’t forget to ask them what comes with your rental? Will you need to rent other items?
If it’s a BIG OPEN space…will need more decorations/props?
